Therapy provides a safe place for an individual to explore feelings, issues, problems and concerns and to develop healthy, productive coping skills. In treatment, Dr. Gudas uses a variety of therapeutic modalities - psychodynamic, developmental, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal and play - depending upon the abilities and needs of the individual. The combination of nursing and mental health background provides Dr. Gudas with a strong understanding of an individual's biological, physiological and psychological needs. In child treatment, Dr. Gudas believes therapy is most effective with the support and encouragement of and collaboration with the child's parents. In all treatment, Dr. Gudas strives to help an individual develop and grow into his or her optimal mental health and well-being.
